The Terrain has a 1.5L Turbo engine has a 4-cylinder dual overhead cam design with direct injection and variable valve timing. This engine offers 175 horsepower and 203 lb.-ft. of torque. It’s paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission for seamless acceleration.

Exterior

The GMC Terrain is a compact SUV that comes in a variety of attention-grabbing colors. This includes Deep Bronze Metallic, Downpour Metallic, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, and White Frost Tintcoat. The Terrain’s base trim comes with 17-inch all-season blackwall tires, silver-painted aluminum wheels, body-color mirror caps, C-shaped LED signature lighting, and deep-tinted rear glass windows.

Interior

Up to five people can fit comfortably in the GMC Terrain, with a 4-way manual driver seat and a 4-way manual front passenger seat. The fold-flat rear seat is a 60/40 split that can be folded down completely ​when you need more cargo room. All standard seating is made with premium cloth seat trim that’s soft and simple to clean.

Convenient interior features include rear air vents, charging-only USB ports, and a 6-speaker audio system that projects audio perfectly.

Technology and Entertainment

The Terrain has a 7-inch diagonal GMC Infotainment system that includes wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM radio. With Bluetooth audio streaming, you can access these features through voice controls. The GMC Infotainment system is perfect for streaming music, making hands-free phone calls, and using GPS navigation.

The new Terrain also has Wi-Fi hotspot capability, allowing you to use your smartphone, tablet, and laptop. Powered by AT&T, this hotspot works for up to ten different devices within fifty feet of your vehicle.

Safety

The 2024 Terrain has GMC Pro Safety built-in, offering a range of assistive driving features that can prevent accidents. These include Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, and Automatic Emergency Braking. GMC Pro Safety uses cameras and sensors to watch your surroundings, alerting you to potential hazards.
